Good Morning Sitka!

I just really enjoyed this.

Another beautiful night.

    

Here with John at the ferry terminal.  He's one of our guests at the lodge and has been a joy to be around.  He's going to Juneau for a few days and I wanted to share him here on my blog.

This is Peggy luring eagles in with roast beef and ham. She thought if she built it, they would come, but they didn't.

It was a good day, a beautiful day here. Everything went smooth with the guests. I think we're all pretty happy this evening. Peggy made a great dinner and now it's sleepy time. Up at 4am to get them ready for there fishing trip. I took pictures tonight while on my walk. It's so pretty.

Just me trying to take a decent picture of myself and of course it's blurry. I've just decided to accept it and keep blogging along.

Lions and tigers and bears, Oh My!

    "Fortress of the Bears".   A place they rescue and raise abandoned cubs.  

     These guys we're big and beautiful, but their limited space to roam

     was not.  

I thought I was recording this whale yesterday, but when I came back to the lodge that evening to watch it I realized I only thought my phone was on record. Can't tell you how disappointed I was. I'll know better next time. This is a blurry pic I did get. Double disappointment!!

Today was our last day of deep cleaning and we are all pooped! Linda shows Peggy how to hold a a gun and it was hilarious. She showed me as we'll, but I'm not that brave to post the picture. If only I looked at cool as she does. Seriously, Im going to learn how to shoot.

What's up with these prices???

This was posted at a nearby coffee stand. It didn't deter me in anyway.

There were at least 50 eagles on this beach and in the trees. I've never seen anything like it. Too bad my pictures aren't awesome!

So I had some feedback about this blog last night and realized that all my pictures are fuzzy! This blows! I've put time and thought into this and to have anything less than great pics sucks. I'll try my best to fix the problem.

Today is cleaning day! Our first guest show up on Sunday, so we are busy...busy...busy. I still have to get familiar with town and learn how to drive this big ass van. Well, it's not that big, I'm just not familiar with it yet.

First official day of working. Mostly cleaning which I took no pictures of, but I was able to go for a lovely walk this evening and that was good. I dropped Peggy off downtown and walked back to the lodge in the rain.

    This street truly made me feel like I'm in an

    old fishing town.  

    All bundled up.

    And no one to play with.  At least for now.
